JAMMU, Feb 6: A car has been stolen while a mobile phone has been snatched from the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Satwari and Gandhi Nagar Police Stations.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a lady Ujwal Kour, wife of late Jaswant Singh, a resident of H No 123 near Digiana Ashram with Police Station Satwari regarding theft of her car.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 28/2020 under section 379 IPC has been registered at Satwari Police Station and hunt has been launched to nab the thieves.
Meanwhile, a man namely Satbir Singh, son of Paramjit Singh of Nanak Nagar lodged a complaint with Police Station Gandhi Nagar stating that two persons on a scooty snatched the mobile phone of her mother when she was going to Gurdwara at Nanak Nagar.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 35/2020 under Section 382 and 34 IPC has been registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station and hunt has been launched to nab the mobile snatchers.
However, no arrest was made in both the cases till last reports were compiled.
