UDHAMPUR, Aug 23: The Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur, today hosted the valediction ceremony of the one-week capsule course for gazetted officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS).
The course, conducted under the supervision of Garib Dass, Director SKPA Udhampur, was aimed at enhancing inter-departmental coordination and professional competency between the civil and police administration.
The valedictory function was graced by Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor), SKPA, as the chief guest. In his address, Gupta emphasized the importance of such collaborative training programmes in strengthening governance and fostering synergy between civil and police institutions. He urged the officers to apply the knowledge gained for effective service delivery and public welfare.
During the week-long training, the participants were exposed to sessions on public administration, human rights, disaster management, leadership skills, and law enforcement coordination.
A total of 18 JKAS officers successfully completed the course. Certificates of participation were distributed to them at the conclusion of the ceremony.
The course was coordinated by Rakesh Sambyal, CPO, assisted by Inspector Vikas Manhas, Faculty Member.
