CAPD to provide 35 kg ration per family: Pawan

UDHAMPUR, Oct 3: The Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta today said that the people of Udhampur district will now be provided 35Kg ration per family from existing 25 kg/ family from the month of October, 2015.
Talking to media persons, he said that Government is committed to provide corruption free, transparent and good quality of supply of ration to the people. He instructed AD CA&PD Joginder Singh, to provide good quality and authorized amount of ration to the people of the district and keep a regular check on the quality and distribution of the ration. He said that strict action would be initiated against the defaulters if any for streamlining the ration distribution in the area.
Minister assured that Government is committed for the opening of 200 new ration depot in the area so that people of the area would get ration without any problem. He also informed that a new amusement park would soon be developed in the town for which the land has been already identified.He also added that the Govt had already initiated a lot of development works for the cleanliness of Devika and construction of new sports grounds in the Udhampur.
Later, MoS met deputation from Jib area and listened to their problems regarding water supply and electricity. He assured all possible help from Govt side. He instructed X-En PHE to redress the water related problem of the people soon. He called upon the people to get themselves aware about the different schemes of various departments and avail the benefits of these schemes for the socio economic upliftment.
Among others, Executive Engineer PHE, Mr. Gupta, AD CA&PD Joginder Singh and CEO MCU, K K Chalotra were present during the programme.
