Malhotra, other Apni party leaders extend support

JAMMU, Nov 3: The protest dharna launched by 45 left out Kashmiri Pandit youth under PM package despite qualifying the criteria for the appointment near Press Club Jammu has entered 33rd day today.
The aggrieved candidates with pla -cards and banners in their hands were raising slogans demanding that they be given justice failing which they will be forced to take extreme steps.
The protesting candidates said that they were selected through due course of law and in 2012 they knocked the court of justice in this regard as well but the Government failed to issue the appointment orders in their favour till date forcing them to come to streets.
The protestors said that some of them have become over aged over these years while others are at the verge of overage and the Government’s further delay in giving justice to them will put their career in jeopardy.
They warned the Government that in case the appointment orders were not issued in their favour within one week they will take extreme step and the authorities will be responsible for all consequences. They also warned to proceed to Civil Secretariat along with their families on the first day when move offices will open here and lodge a strong protest.
Meanwhile, Apni Party J&K today came out in support of these agitating youth selected under PM’s employment rehabilitation package.
Vikram Malhotra, general secretary, Apni Party J&K , Namrita Sharma provincial president of its Mahila Wing Jammu along with Apni Party J&K Displaced Morcha leaders Vinod Pandita, Sanjay Dhar and Vishal Jotshi visited Press Club in solidarity and support of KP youth who were selected under PM package in 2017 and are protesting for last more than month for their rights .
The protesting candidates apprised the leaders hey were left out and were not issued formal appointment orders since 2017 despite repeated requests after their selection.
Vikram Malhotra assured them every possible support till they are provided formal orders. He further appealed Lt. Governor to personally examine their case on humanitarian grounds at the earliest so that they are able to eke out their livelihood and this would also facilitate their rehabilitation in Valley for which we all are committed.
