JAMMU, Sept 28: While there was a very insignificant response to the Bharat Trade Bandh call of the national level trade body, CAIT in Jammu today, the members of the trading community took out a protest march in the city of temples against the Govt move of FDI in retail.
Various heads of trade bodies of Jammu City led by Neeraj Anand, president Chamber of Traders Federation handed over National charter of demands mainly opposing Walmart- Flipkart deal and FDI in Retail to the office of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu here today.
Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) spearheading All India agitation against FDI in Retail and Walmart-flipkart deal and various other issues of the trade had called for Bharat Trade Bandh to lodge protest against alleged sell out of interests of small and medium Indian traders to big capitalist backed foreign entities like Walmart, Amazon etc.

The prominent Bazaar presidents and representatives who were present while handing over the National Charter of demands were Narayan Singh, president Patel Bazaar Association, Parveen Gupta, president Jammu Fruit Association, Vimal Gupta president Raj Tilak Road Association, Vijay Gupta Chairman Link Road Traders Association, Harish Gupta president Pacca Danga Traders Association, Balwinder Singh president Cloth Merchants Association Gali Khilonian, S Paramjeet Singh, president Exchange Road Traders Association, Surinder Mahajan president Raghunath Bazaar Association, Anoop Aggarwal, president Kanak Mandi Traders Association, Dinesh Gupta president Electrical Dealers Association, Tushaar Mahajan, president Fire Crackers Dealers Association, Manohar Singh, president Roopnagar- Durga Nagar Chinore Traders Association, Shiv Kumar Gupta , president Bakers Association, S Kuldeep Singh, president Gole Market Traders Association, Manav Saraf, president Channi Himmat Shopkeepers Association, Sanjay Gupta president Halwais Associations, Amit Luthra, Gen Secretary Swaran Kaar Sangh, Gaurav Sapra , Mobile Phone Dealers Association and many others.
Copy of the National charter of demands was later hand over to the Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar for the Prime Minister of India.
