The rejig of PDP-BJP coalition cabinet had become necessary to refurbish the image of the present Government which had got sullied to a great extent due to some unpleasant developments during the last three years. Kathua Rape case proved to be the last nail in the coffin. The incident not only brought the two coalition partners face to face, but the two regions Jammu and Kashmir also. During the course of Rape incident the image of both the partners got sullied terribly. Besides, a number of ministers were under scanner for their poor performance. They could not fulfill the commitments they had made with the people.
Now the much needed rejig, it is hoped, will put the Government back in the driver’s seat. It is upto the new and old cabinet ministers how they would conduct themselves in the Government and live upto the expectations of people.
Besides, they should prove the opposition wrong that termed the rejig as an exercise in futility.
The people are anxiously waiting for their grievances to be redressed. Many development works have got stuck in bureaucratic proceedures, as many ministers had adopted dilly-dallying approach.
