JAMMU, Nov 20: Swami Vivekanand branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) organized `Bharat Ko Jano’ programme, here today at Luthra Academy, Last Morh, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
During the programme, deliberations and debates were held to encourage the students to know Bharat in many aspects.
Blooming Dale High School topped in senior whereas Dogra Higher Secretary School stood 1st in Junior competition. SD Tara Puri stood 2nd and 3rd in Jr/Sr competition.
President of BVP, Vivekanand Branch, Vijay Sharma (Rtd DC Excise) presented the welcome address and threw light on objective of the programme. Chief organiser Arun Sharma and regional general secretary Ved Gupta conducted proceedings of the programme.
Madhu, Principal of the school was chief guest on the occasion. Regional secretary Dr Santosh Gupta also addressed the gathering while the branch secretary S P Khajuria presented vote of thanks.
Patron Vaid, chief advisor Lala Govardhan Dass Gupta, Patron Krishan Lal, O P Sharma, Kuldeep Arora, Breeta Ram Padha, Subash, Raman and Retd DySP Adv Swantar Arora were also present on the occasion.
