JAMMU, Apr 12: The Taushi Branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) in collaboration with Directorate of Ayush J&K organized an Ayush Health Camp at Chak Kirpalpur (Akhnoor) today.
During the camp, valuable inputs about Ayurvedic remedies for common ailments were provided to visiting people, besides offering free health check-ups to the residents of the area gathered at the venue of Ram Katha organized on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri.
A large number of women and children of the area, from all cross-sections of the society, availed the opportunity to get themselves checked, receive medical advice and medicines free of cost.
Dev Raj Sharma, regional president (North-1) of Bharat Vikas Parishad, also graced the occasion. He acknowledged the efforts by Sushil Bhola (Ayurved Pramukh) and Vinod Kumar (joint secretary of the Taushi branch) for their contribution in ensuring successful organizing of the health camp.
Dr Gagandeep Kaur and Dr Shefali Sharma who examined the patients and prescribed them the requisite medicines, where required, were assisted by Parul Sharma (Pharmacist), Punit Sharma (Intern) and Raghav (MTS).
Patients requiring further examination or treatment were referred to the concerned specialists in the Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu.
