JAMMU, Feb 22: A delegation from Buta Nagar and Muthi TRTs today called on Principal Secretary Power, Arun Kumar and demanded that power supply be restored to two camps which has been snapped yesterday.
The delegation was led by working president NC Minority Cell, M K Yogi and it demanded that the power supply to the migrant camps be provided as per the previous procedure. Mr Kumar made it clear that in case the Relief Organization makes the payment of tariff the Department has no hesitation in restoring the power supply to the camps. However he assured that till the issue is settled the power supply will be restored to the camps.
The delegation said that the migrants who are totally dependent on cash relief from Government are not in a position to pay the power tariff. The other members of the delegation included T K Koul, H L Talashi, A K Dhar and Ramesh Bharti. Earlier the migrants protested at Muthi against the snapping of power supply.
