Buta Nagar camp without water supply

JAMMU, June 25: The residents of Buta Nagar Migrant Camp have made an appeal to the Jal Shakti Department to restore water supply to the camp which has been stopped for last two days putting the 256 families living in the camp to lot of difficulty in this scorching heat of summer.
In a statement issued here today the camp delegation under the chairmanship of Ashok Kumar Dhar today met AEE Mechanical Mohd Tariq Raina, Assistant Commissioner Relief and AD Planning, Kapoor and apprised them of the grave situation arising in the camp due to the non-availability of water supply. The camp residents have warned the department and given one day’s ultimatum for restoration of water supply failing which they will resort to agitation.
The camp residents have decided to come out on roads if their grievance is not addressed. The camp residents have also appealed to the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Migrants TK Bhat to intervene in the matter. H K Raina, M N Pandita, Bitu Ji and Vimal Ji were the other members in the delegation.
