MENDHAR, Feb 19: A burglary took place in readymade garments’ shop, in the main market at Mendhar town last night.
Reports said that some unknown thieves broke the locks of the shutter of the shop belonging to one Imran Khan, son of Manzoor, resident of Gohlad last night and decamped with readymade garments worth lakhs. The shop is located near Jama Masjid in the main market at the town here.
The owner came to know about the matter when he saw his locks broken in the morning. Some stones were also lying nearby. He found that goods/ garments lying inside the shop were stolen. The other traders of the area also gathered there besides members of local Beopar Mandal. They reported the matter to Police.
The police party reached the spot and started investigation. An FIR was lodged in this connection. The loss of property was being assessed by the shop owner.
