Burglary attempt foiled, accused persons nabbed

Srinagar, May 30: Police in Kulgam today said to have foiled a burglary attempt by arresting 2 burglars and seized tools used for committing the burglary.
A police statement issued said that during the intervening night of 29/30 May 2021, specific information was received by Kulgam Police through reliable sources that some persons are moving suspiciously at Malpora Chowk area falling under the jurisdiction of PS Qazigund.
On receipt of this information, a Police party from Police Post Mirbazar along with locals of Malpora reached the suspected spot and apprehended two burglars red-handed as they were breaking the wall of a shop.
“They have been identified as Rameez Ahmad Naik son of Ghulam Mohammad Naik and Sumbhool Ahmad Yatoo son of Abdul Majeed Yatoo both residents of Gufbal Qaimoh and the tools used for committing the crime have also been seized by the Police. They have been shifted to the police station where they remain in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 120/2021 under relevant Sections of law stands registered at Police Station Qazigund and further investigation is going on.
