MENDHAR, July 26: A buffalo was killed while a boy seriously injured when a live electric wire falls on them at village Gohlad today.
The mishap took place when the domestic servant- Firdous Ahmed of the teacher Mohd Ashraf had gone to a nearby pond with buffaloes. They got trapped in the live electric wire lying on the ground near water pond. While one buffalo was killed on the spot , boy sustained serious injures/ electric shocks. He was admitted to SDH Mendhar. The police has registered a case against the concerned PDD staff for the negligence.
