Budhal people suspend agitation

RAJOUR, Feb 12: The people from Budhal area today suspended agitation following assurance that their demand will be considered with in fortnight.
Reports said former MP and senior NC leader Mirza  Abdul Rashd,  senior leader Liaqat Choudhary and district president Bashir Wani had gone to Budhal today to request the people sitting on dharna and hunger strike since February 2 to call off agitation as Government has announced another committee to examine other deserving cases like Budhal and consider for Tehsil/ Block status.
Upon this the people sought concrete response. Through these NC leaders the locals also talked to NC Provincial  president Devender Singh Rana on Mobile phone, who assured the agitating people that they would get justice within two weeks and a Tehsildar would start functioning there shortly. On his assurance and with intervention of Mirza Rashid the people held brief meet and suspended agitation for 15 days.
