Buddhist students of Padder call on Kichloo

JAMMU, Dec 27: Minister of State for Industries & Commerce, Home and Tourism, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo has asked the youth to come forward in a big way to avail the incentives available under Central and State Industrial Packages which are better as compared to some other States of the country.
Interacting with a group of Buddhist students of Padder, Kishtwar studying in various educational institutions of Jammu in his office chamber at Civil Secretariat, Mr. Kichloo advised them to equip themselves with modern education to become successful first generation entrepreneurs, adding that industrialization holds key for state’s economic self-reliance.
Responding to the students demands, the Minister assured that all possibilities will be explored to construct a hostel/sarai at Jammu for the Buddhist students of Padder area studying in various institutions of Jammu city.
The deputation of the Association of Buddhist Students of Padder was led by their Jammu representative Tenzin Wamkha.
Mr. Kichloo said that Government has rolled out a comprehensive industrial policy to facilitate investments in the state. He said Government will prefer to encourage local entrepreneurs than outside business houses to come and invest in the State, adding that the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has unambiguously asked the Banking Institutions functioning in the State to provide hassle free lending facilities to the entrepreneurs for setting up of their own Income Generating Units.
Mr. Kichloo also sought cooperation of the people of the State to supplement Government initiatives for all round socio-economic transformation and equitable development of all three regions of the State.
