JAMMU, May 31: Bharat Tibet Sangh (BTS) has called for a nationwide boycott of Chinese products to deliver a strong blow to China’s economy.
Addressing a press conference here today, Dr. Kuldeep Sharma, national general secretary BTS and in-charge for North India, made a clarion call for the people to awaken and respond decisively to China’s dual-faced policies.
He was joined by Vivek Singhal, president BTS J&K and Ashwani Sharma, vice president BTS J&K.
Dr. Sharma accused China of indulging in deceitful practices by earning profits from Indian markets and supporting forces that threaten India’s sovereignty and security.
He further asserted that this is the right time for every nationalist Indian to rise and take action.
“Patriotism today demands more than words. We must stop buying Chinese products. We must stop strengthening the hands of those who seek to weaken our nation,” Dr. Sharma maintained adding that the national body of Bharat Tibet Sangh will form specialized committees across various states, particularly in North-East, where Chinese influence is more and these committees will focus on spreading awareness, educating citizens about the negative implications of purchasing Chinese goods.
