BSP organises party convention

SAMBA, June 1: State unit of Bahujan Samaj Party organised a district level convention at  Vijaypur  and criticized the State Government for ignoring the Scheduled Castes  and other downtrodden sections of the society.
State president of the party  Tarsem Khullar was the chief guest on the occasion.  The delegates from all the Assembly Constituencies from the district took part in the meeting. The main agenda of the meeting was to observe martyr day of  Bhagat Amarnath today.
The speakers while paying tributes  to Bhagat Amarnath recalled his services for the community  and sacrifice for their cause.  He attained supreme sacrifice on June                    1, 1970.
He was considered as  Massiha of the poor and down trodden members  of the society. It was only due to his sacrifice that members of this community and OBC got reservation, they observed.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included RL Charogtra, Rattan Kumar Bhagat, Jagdish Verma, Som Nath Ex-MLA,  KL Attri,  TD Langeh, Charan Dass and Raj Kumar Thapa.
