BSP holds Workers Conference

JAMMU, June 16: To discuss various issues including framing of constituency and booth level Committees, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) organized one-day Workers Conference, under the chairmanship of SR Majotra, State President and General Secretary, Lakhbeer Singh at Akhnoor, here today.
While addressing the workers, Majotra said that the national issues like prevailing Kashmir situation, price rise, growing intolerance in the society and corruption are the matter of concern.
Expressing concern over the deteriorating situation on borders and in Kashmir, he said the State and the Central Governments have failed to tackle the Kashmir issue.
He said increasing violence and killings are on uncontrollable rise and expressed grave concern over the brutal killings of senior journalist, Shujaat Bukhari and Army soldiers in Kashmir.
On the occasion, Lakhbeer Singh said that the people of the State are fed up with BJP’s policies and procedures, adding that BSP is ready to take the challenge of providing stable and sincere Govt in the State and the Centre as well.
The party office was also inaugurated by the State President on the occasion. Constituency Committee was also framed in which Advocate Pardeep Kumar was nominated as President of Akhnoor Constituency and Subedar Om Prakash as General Secretary, Beli Ram was named as Cashier and Ajay Kumar as Convener.
State Vice President, Charanjeet Chargotra also spoke on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Jagdish Verma, Badri Nath, BL Dhingra, Rajan Thapa and Deepak Kumar.
The Programme was organized by Virender Bhagat, Manoj Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Behari Lal and Surinder Kumar.
