BSP delegation meets NHAI Project Director

JAMMU, Jan 22: A delegation of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today met the Project Director, National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), RP Singh, and apprised him of various problems being faced by the local people of the areas through which the National Highway is passing.
Led by its State president, Tulsi Dass Langeh and State general secretary, Rakesh Wazir, the BSP delegation discussed many issues of local populace erupted due to the highway such as linking of old village roads with new highway which have got cut away due to the coming up of the new highway.
The leaders complained that while erecting of barricades different yard sticks have been adopted at areas like Chadwal, Bari Brahmana, Kunjwani, and other areas which needs to be removed immediately.
They said that at many places the service roads do not match with the plans of National Highway Authority of India and needs to be checked and corrected.
They further complained that areas recommended by Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, for cuts were ignored and requested that all those cuts be provided at the earliest.
The Project Director gave on spot directions for redressing most of the issues and assured to redress rest of the issues raised by the delegation at the earliest.
