JAMMU, Feb 22: BSP J&K president, Darshan Rana has expressed concern over disturbing reports circulating on social and public platforms regarding the safety, security and psychological well-being of reserved category employees and other government officials presently posted in Kashmir Division.
Rana stated that numerous reports indicate an atmosphere of fear, insecurity and uncertainty among employees, particularly those belonging to reserved categories and those hailing from Jammu Division and serving in sensitive and vulnerable areas of Kashmir.
“Such reports cannot be dismissed as rumours or isolated incidents, as they directly relate to the safety, dignity and fundamental rights of employees discharging their duties under challenging conditions,” he maintained adding that every government employee irrespective of caste, region, religion or background, should avail the constitutional right of secure working environment.
Rana demanded that the Government should immediately undertake a comprehensive review of postings of reserved category employees in sensitive zones of Kashmir Division.
He said that any administrative negligence, delay or casual approach on this issue may lead to irreversible consequences, for which the Government alone would bear responsibility.
The BSP leader said that safety of employees serving the State machinery is not merely an administrative concern but is a matter of human life, constitutional obligation and governance credibility.
