JAMMU, June 15: State unit of Bahujan Samaj Party today organised a function in connection with the birthday of Sadguru Kabir Dass ji Maharaj at the party headquarters, Satwari here today.
The function was held under the chairmanship of State president of the party, Tulsi Dass Langeh while national general secretary, Narender Kashyap (Rajya Sabha MP) was the chief guest. Avtar Singh ( MP-RS), Parkash Bharti and Gurman Singh coordinators, were guests of honour on the occasion.
The function at the party office Narwal Pain, commenced with the garlanding of the portrait of Guru Kabir Dass ji. Mr Kashyap while speaking on the occasion dwelt at length on the life and mission of Sadguru Kabir Dass ji Maharaj by reciting some of his couplets and appealed to the people to follow the teachings of this great Guru.
Avtar Singh Karimpuri and Prakash Bharti besides Gurnam Singh, also spoke on the teachings of Sant Kabir and said that his teachings are more relevant today. State president Mr Langeh presented vote of thanks to all the participants.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included ex-MLA Som Nath, Rakesh Wazir, S R Majotra, Rattan Kumar Bhagat, B D Thappa, Ashok Bhagat, Ajaib Singh Motton and Dr Harjit.
