JAMMU, Apr 7: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in a meeting at the party office in Satwari, hold discussions on celebrating the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar falling on April 14.
During the meeting held under the chairmanship of BSP J&K president, Darshan Rana, party leaders were assigned new responsibilities and Haji Shak Mohammad was appointed Zone Coordinator of Zone Poonch-and Rajouri and in charge Nagrota Assembly segment, while Tilak Raj Bhagat and Darshan Thapa were made zone coordinators of Zone Jammu.
Apart from this, Davinder Kumar was appointed district president of Samba. “On this occasion all the members appointed were welcomed by the party State president; Darshan Rana as well as other leaders and they said that they have full hope that the people who have been given responsibilities will give their full contribution in strengthening the party and will take the party’s policies to the common people.
BSP J&K president, Darshan Rana said that to strengthen the party in J&K UT responsibilities have been given to the senior leaders of the party. He said that the party will be expanded in the coming days as well. He further said that on April 14, the birth anniversary of the Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar will be celebrated at the district headquarters by the Bahujan Samaj Party.
Apart from this, the party is organizing a participation Sammelan dedicated to Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on April 19, in which hundreds of party workers will participate. During this programme, the party’s State vice president, Charanjit Chargotra, general secretary, Sardar Raja Singh and district president, Jammu, Tarsem Lal along with other party people were also present.
