JAMMU, Apr 19: J&K unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) organized a “Bagidhari” conference at Bishnah in the memory of the Bharat Ratan Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, in which the ideology of Dr Ambedkar was discussed and it was resolved that BSP will work only under the guidance of his thoughts.
One day conference was organized under the chairmanship of J&K unit president of BSP Darshan Rana, while former MP and Jammu and Kashmir Coordinator Dr Avtar Singh Karimpuri was present as the chief guest. Apart from this, a large number of party workers and office bearers including the party State vice president Charanjit Chargotra, State Coordinator Sunil Majotra, Gourav, general secretary Shashi Bhushan Thapa, Raja Singh, Tilak Raj Bhagat, Shak Mohammad, Tarsem Lal, Raman Kumar Davinder Kumar and Mangal Dass were present.
While speaking on the occasion Karimpuri said that the aim of Bahujan Samaj Party is to build the India of the dreams of Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar in which people of every religion, caste get equal rights. He said that BSP workers need to work together to protect the Constitution. He said the Congress has always worked to weaken Dr Ambedkar and has always opposed Ambedkar’s decisions
Darshan Rana said that no tampering with reservation will be tolerated. He said that the leaders of some political parties give statements every day to tamper with the Constitution and reservation which Bahujan Samaj Party strongly condemns. He said that BSP will never let such plans succeed. On this occasion, other leaders of the party also expressed their views.
