BSF recruits’ passing out parade held at STC Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Nov 1:  Forty-four weeks long rigorous basic training of 343 Border Security Force recruits culminated today with the holding of an impressive attestation cum passing out parade at BSF Subsidiary Training Centre (STC), Udhampur, here today.
Rakesh Sharma, IG Frontier Jammu, took the salute and congratulated JC Singla, DIG, Rajeshwar Singh, Commandant (Trg) and training staff as well as the recruits for putting up a commendable performance in the parade. He also emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication to duty and high degree of integrity while discharging duties on the border as well as in counter insurgency operations.
He reminded the recruits that they are the first line of defence for the country and it is their primary duty to ensure the sanctity of the borders. He congratulated the recruits for successfully completing their training and becoming full members of the BSF family.
The parade was commanded by Recruit Constable Sourab Patra. The chief guest  awarded the outstanding performers, who  included;  Recruit’s Constable overall 1st   Batch number  150, Suman Thapa;  overall 2nd    Deepak Chettri;  Best in Drill and Best in Endurance Recruit’s Constable, Aman Chettri;  Best in Shooting Recruit’s Constable, Transil Kharkhuyr. From Batch number 151,  Recruit’s Constable Overall 1st   was Amit Dev Verma, overall 2nd    Markandey Kumar Kevat, Best in Drill Ratan Mandal, Best in Endurance Recruit’s Constable Sohel Rana and Best in Shooting Recruit’s Constable Krishan Kumar Singh.
Danish Rana, Director, Sher-e-Kashmir, Police Academy Udhampur and Garib Dass, DIG Udhampur Reasi Range and senior officers from army, Air Force other CPMFs, Police and Civil Administration were also present on the occasion.
The parade was also witnessed by family members of BSF personnel as well as of recruits.
