SAMBA, Dec 18: BSF has recovered a Night Vision Device (NVD) near Border Out Post Chamliyal of Ramgarh Sector in Samba during the search operation today.
According to official sources, the NVD was found in the same area where three Pakistani terrorists were neutralized by BSF who had managed to sneak about 100 to 200 meters inside the Indian territory on November 29 this year and where the Pakistani Rangers had dug a tunnel from across the border also.
Sources said the device belonged to slain terrorists and it was being used by them during night to locate the way and also the movement of the security forces after sneaking inside the Indian territory.  However, after the killing of all the three terrorists the device was lying in the fields in the area and during the search operations the BSF jawans located it today and seized it.
It may be recalled that the alertness of the BSF jawans in the area had averted another major tragedy on the day when a group of militants had managed to attack at 16 Corps Headquarters at Nagrota.
