JAMMU, May 6: The BSF and Rangers today held two flag meetings in Ramgarh and Hiranagar sectors of Samba and Kathua districts respectively to discuss the issues between them. The first flag meeting was held today at the International Border in Ramgarh sector of Samba district on the Pakistani request as the Rangers wanted to install flag of their country on the forward post. Official reports said the officers of 126 BSF and 24 Rangers met at Border Pillar No. 51 near Nursery Border out Post (BoP) of Ramgarh sector in Samba district at 10.10 am today to discuss the Pakistani request. The Rangers had request the BSF to allow them to hoist Pakistani flag at their forward post opposite BoP Nursery in Ramgarh sector. The meeting lasted about 10 minutes after which both sides dispersed. However, there was no official word from the BSF on whether they had permitted the Rangers to hoist Pakistani flag on their forward post or not. Another flag meeting was held at Zero line on the IB at Paharpur BoP on the Indian side in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district between 97 BSF and Rangers. The BSF had objected to movement of tractor trolleys on Pakistan side of the border. The Rangers told the BSF that they wanted to construct Mosque near Shaheed Nurse Islam post opposite Paharpur, reports said.
