JAMMU, Aug 9: A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home in Mishriwala area here today.
Kartar Singh (57), son of Sardar Singh of Village Jangi Wala, Tehsil Khour, District Jammu, at present Mishriwala, Jammu, who is posted at BSF Sixth Battalion at Nawgam, Srinagar, lost consciousness at his residence today, a police official said.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu by his brother, where the team of doctors declared him as dead on arrival, he said.
While the body of the deceased personnel has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem, police have started further investigation into the matter.
