MENDHAR, Aug 11: The 168 Bn of BSF here today organized a blood donation and free medical check-up camp at its Achhad campus.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by BMO Mendhar, Doctor Parvaiz Ahmed Khan.
Pardeep Singh, Commandant, 168 Bn BSF; Medical Officer, Doctor Javid Ahmed and other officers of the Unit and prominent civilians of the area were also present on this occasion.
The camp started with the Commandant Pardeep Singh donating his blood and this was followed by other officers and men with other ranks of the unit who too donated their blood.
After this, a free medical check-up camp was organized by the BSF Unit.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant highlighted about the importance of blood donation and BSF’s contribution in organizing these camps. He said that blood donation is a noble cause due to which many lives can be saved.
