JAMMU: Alert troops of BSF today foiled an infiltration bid in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.
“During the wee hours today in Hiranagar Sector of Kathua in Jammu region, BSF troops noticed a movement of two suspected terrorists approaching towards International Boundary from Pak side,” an official spokesman here said. He said they were kept under continuous watch and once they reached in the vicinity of IB, they hid themselves in dead ground and wild growth.
“Alert BSF troops fired in calibrated manner over them and averted possible infiltration attempt,” said the spokesman, adding that later they were seen retreating taking advantage of dead ground and thick foliage. In the past 15 days, BSF has foiled four to five infiltration attempts on IB in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts. (AGENCIES)
