SRINAGAR, Mar 24: BSF Campus Humhama was ablaze with color and festivity today as it played host to a vibrant ‘Holi Mela’.
The event commenced with an inauguration ceremony graced by the presence of Roopa Yadav, BWWA President, BSF Frontier Kashmir, accompanied by Ashok Yadav, Inspector General, Kashmir Frontier.
Officers and troops alike immersed themselves in the festivities, engaging in spirited Holi celebrations and exchanging warm greetings and colorful embraces.
The ‘Holi Mela’ featured a plethora of attractions, including food and sweets stalls, vibrant merchandise at gift shops, captivating cultural performances, entertaining games and competitions, and a specially curated kids zone.
Enthusiastic participation was witnessed from officers, SOs, troops of BSF, and sister agencies, along with their families, who reveled in the festive ambiance and cherished every moment of the celebration.
The culmination of the Mela was marked by heartfelt Holi greetings extended by Roopa Yadav and Ashok Yadav to all the troops and their families.
During the event, IG Frontier emphasized the significance of unity within the BSF family and underscored the collective celebration of all festivities. He extended warm wishes for happiness and prosperity to all troops and their families.
He also conveyed heartfelt Holi wishes to the dedicated BSF Jawans, acknowledging their unwavering commitment and relentless efforts in safeguarding the nation’s farthest frontiers along the Line of Control and International Borders.
