JAMMU, June 15: A high-level delegation of the British Ravidasia Heritage Foundation (BRHF) today met Dr Satyanarayan Jatiya, Member of the Parliamentary Board of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Union Minister, in New Delhi.
The meeting was organized to apprise him of the Foundation’s social and spiritual activities and seek support.
The delegation was led by Om Prakash Bagga, international president of the BRHF.
During the meeting, Bagga informed Dr Jatiya that the BRHF is a social and non-political organization committed to spreading Guru Ravidass Ji’s message of social equality, interfaith harmony and a caste-free society on a global scale.
The organization is headquartered in London (UK), with active branches in India and several other countries.
He also informed that the Foundation has requested the Government of India to officially commemorate the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidass Ji in 2027 with year-long programmes both in India and abroad.
Bagga urged Dr Satyanarayan Jatiya to convey this request to the party leadership and support the cause.
Dr Satyanarayan Jatiya appreciated the efforts of the BRHF and said, “The life and teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji are even more relevant today and that the work being done by the Foundation to unite society is truly inspirational.”
He assured the delegation that he would raise this issue at the appropriate forum within the party.
Among others who were present during the meeting included Rajesh Bagga, Balbir Ram Rattan and Deepika Chawda.
