Brahmin Sabha demands CBI probe into Neha murder case

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Apr 17: Taking a strong exception to the indifferent attitude of Agra Police (UP) to nab the killers of Neha Sharma, a research scholar girl student of Dayal Bagh Education Institute Agra, daughter of Rachhpal Sharma an ex-serviceman hailing from village Rabta Mathwar in Jammu, Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha has demanded a CBI enquiry in the case.
The Sabha members said that despite deputing a special Police Team from Jammu by the J&K Government to Agra, the Agra Police is clueless even after a lapse of more than a month of the brutal killing of the girl student within the college premises.
Expressing sympathy with the parents of the victim, the Sabha members felt concerned about the economic condition of the family hailing from a backward area of Jammu, which is helpless to persue the long hectic police investigation.
They said that it was therefore resolved to approach the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh to apprise him about the failure of Agra Police to nab the culprits even after lapse of more than a month, adding even today the police is clueless and has nothing except lip sympathy to offer.
The Sabha members requested the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister for a CBI probe so that the killers of the innocent girl student do not escape scot-free and get a severe and exemplary punishment. The members strongly recommended the UP Government to suitable compensation not less than Rs 25 lakh in favour of parents of the victims.
Ex-president AIBF, Prof Dervinder Sharma; Chief Patron, DBPS, Inderjeet Khajuria; District Session Judge (Retd) KK Proch; President Dehati Brahmin Sabha, Om Parkash Sharma; President Brahmin Kalyan Sabha, Dr JK Sharma; President DBPS Satwari Mandal, Kasturi Lal Khajuria; President DBPS Akhnoor, Mangoo Ram Sharma; Jagan Nath Sharma, RP Shastri President Dogra Pujari Shastri Sangh, Shakti Dutt Sharma and M.L Sharma were present in the meeting.
