JAMMU, Apr 4: Announ-cing the celebration of Bhagwan Parsuram Jayanti with religious fervour and gaiety from April 8, Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Parade has invited applications from the young Hindu boys to get Yagyopaveet Sanskar performed on the occasion.
The applications for the purpose should reach at the office of DBPS Parade Jammu before15th of April 2018 while mass Yagyopaveet of young Hindu boys will be solemnized on April 18.
This was informed by president of the Brahman Sabha, Ved Parkash Sharma while addressing a press conference, here today.
“The religious programs in connection with the celebration will commence on April 8 with a grand Shobha Yatra, which will be taken out from Government High School for Boys, Satwari Jammu Cantt at 10 AM en route Jammu city and culminate at Sabha Bhawan at 12 Noon,” he said, adding that Pooja Archaana of Bhagwan Parsuram Ji shall be performed before the beginning of the Shobha Yatra.
Sharma said that the main function will be held on 18th of April, the day of Bhagwan Parsuram Jayanti in premises of the Sabha wherein Yagyop-aveet, Pujan of Bhagwan Parsuram will be performed by the Vedic scholars. Various distinguished guests are likely to attend the function and seek the blessings of Bhagwan Parsuram Ji, he added.
On 17th of April 2018, a symposium on the life of Bhagwan Parsuram will be held at 11 AM in the DBPS premises while on 22nd of April, a free medical camp will be organized in Sabha premises in which a prominent Cardiologist Dr Susheel Sharma along with his team of doctors shall provide free consultations and medicines to needy persons.
On behalf of the Sabha, Ved Parkash Sharma appealed people of the State from different walks of life to participate in large numbers to seek blessings of Lord Parsuram Ji.
During the press conference, the Brahman Sabha president also appealed to all the communities not to get swayed by any move by sectarian or anti national elements who are hell bent upon to spoil the unity and integrity of the country for their petty ends.
