Boy mowed down by rashly driven car

JAMMU, Mar 26: Eleven-year-old boy was mowed by a rashly driven car near T-Morh, falling under the jurisdiction of Channi Himmat police station.
As per reports, 11-year-old boy namely Rahul, son of Bindraban, a resident of Chatarpur, Madhya Pradesh was playing outside his rented accommodation at Sector 3, Channi Himmat near T-Morh, when a rashly driven Maruti car bearing registration number JK01H-3596 knocked him.
The profusely bleeding boy was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after conducting autopsy tomorrow, the body will be handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under FIR number 33/14 under Section 304-A has been registered at Channi Himmat police station and manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused driver, who fled from the spot, leaving behind the vehicle.
However, no arrest has been made till reports compiled.
