KATHUA, July 13: A 13 year boy was knocked down by a car which was in high speed at Billawar today.
He was identified as Darshan Kumar, son of Mulkh Raj of Phantar Billawar. According to police the car bearing registration number PB 06P-2444 was in high speed and after reaching near Degree College it hit Kumar who was riding on a bicycle resulting in his instant death.
The driver of the car fled after the accident leaving the vehicle behind. The police has seized the car and registered case under Section 304 at police station Billawar. The body of the boy was handed over to family members after postmortem for cremation.
