POONCH, July 20: A minor boy was drowned in a water tank and died near his house at village Banola in Mendhar Sub Division today.
Police sources said that mishap took place when two and half year old child, Aizan Ahmed, son of Mohd Ilyas, resident of Banola, was playing with some other child. There was open under ground water tank near the house. He fell into it and drowned. His parents came to know when his body came out and started floating. Carelessness was said to be reason behind the mishap. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
