Bovines smuggling bids foiled

KATHUA, May 10: Hiranagar, Rajbagh and Industrial Estate Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per official spokesman, a team from Police Station Hiranagar led by Inspector Sunil Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Border Pankaj Soodan during patrolling duty near Dyalachak, Sallan noticed some unknown persons who were coming from Tarnah Nallah side towards Dinga Amb side by foot.
On seeing police party, the persons fled away from the spot while leaving behind 9 bovine animals. Meanwhile all the 9 bovines were rescued.
Meanwhile, teams from Police Station Rajbagh led by Inspector Amit Sangra under the supervision of SDPO Border Pankaj Soodan and Police Post Industrial Estates Kathua led by Inspector Rajinder Khajuria under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Shammi Kumar intercepted three vehicles.
During checking, police teams rescued 11 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Ravi Singh of RS Pura District Jammu and Jagjit Singh of Bhamo Chak Tehsil Ramgarh District Samba.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Hiranagar, Rajbagh and Kathua and investigation started.
The bovines smuggling bids were foiled under the supervision of SSP Kathua RC Kotwal.
