JAMMU, Feb 10: Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Devinder Singh and assisted by Incharge Police Post Manwal PSI Ayoub Khan under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a Kashmir bound truck bearing registration number JK03E-2502.
During checking, police team rescued 12 bovine animals and seized the vehicle.
A case under FIR Number 21/2022 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Khour led by SHO Inspector Balvinder Singh during checking intercepted a vehicle.
During frisking, police team rescued two bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Sikander Singh, son of Najar Singh, a resident of Dangher Kleeth.
A case under FIR Number 8/2022 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Khour and investigation initiated.
