Bovines smuggling bids foiled; 31 cattle rescued, 2 arrested

JAMMU, Feb 6: Sidhra and Pacca Danga police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 31 cattle and arresting two persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Sidhra Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02W-3317.
During checking, police rescued 15 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one smuggler, who has been identified as Mohammad Fazail, son of Mohammad Aslam, a resident of Gursai, Tehsil Mendhar, District Poonch.
A case under FIR Number 62/19 under section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Sidhra Police Post SI Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania, SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and SP Rural Jammu Dushyant Sharma.
Meanwhile, a team from Pacca Danga Police Station laid a naka and rescued 16 cattle from a truck bearing registration number JK02AT-7334.
Police team also arrested one smuggler, who has been identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Puran Singh, a resident of Uri, District Baramulla, at present Mishriwala.
A case under FIR Number 26/19 under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Pacca Danga Police Station and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Virender Gupta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Amritpal Singh.
