Bovines smuggling bids foiled, 15 cattle rescued

RAMBAN, Mar 16: Ramban, Chanderkote, Ukhral and Jawahar Tunnel Police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 15 cattle.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Ramban laid a naka and intercepted Auto Load Carrier bearing registration number JK19-8423.
During checking, police team rescued three bovine animals and seized the vehicle, whereas driver fled away from the spot taking advantage of the darkness.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Chanderkote during routine checking intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK19-7161.
During checking, police team rescued 4 bovine animals from the vehicle, which was driven by Tilak Raj, son of Chur Chand of Rajgarh.
In another similar case, a team from Police Post Ukhral rescued two bovine animals from the possession of a person namely Khursheed Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohd of Bankoot. He was smuggling the bovine animals to Kashmir.
In one more similar case, a team from Police Post Jawahar Tunnel intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK19A-0336.
During checking, police team rescued six bovine animals from the vehicle, which was driven by Bashir Ahmed, son of Sher Mohammad of Pernote, District Ramban.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Ramban, Chanderkote, Ramsoo and Banihal and investigation started.
