JAMMU, Dec 4: Pacca Danga Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 13 cattle and arresting one smuggler.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Pacca Danga led by SHO Inspector Raghubir Singh under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Mohita Sharma laid a naka near Manda and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AH-7169.
During checking, police team rescued 13 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Aashiq Hussain, son of Basharat Ahmed, a resident of Kokernag, District Anantnag.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
