KATHUA, June 17: Nagri police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 14 cattle.
As per police spokesman, on specific information, a team of Police Post Nagri today in the wee hours established checkpoint in Nakkian area and intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB06V-6434.
During checking, police rescued 14 cattle from the vehicle and seized it, while the accused smugglers managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 211/18 under Sections 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered and investigation started.
