3 arrested with illicit liquor pouches

UDHAMPUR, June 17: Roun Domail police arrested three persons traveling in a Tata Mobile along with 40 pouches of illicit liquor, a police official said.
The accused have been identified as Krishan Chand, son of Mangat Ram of Sangar, Kewal Krishan, son of Bansi Lal of Bari Brahmana and Romesh Chander, son of Sobha Ram of Kanyala.
A case under FIR Number 270/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Udhampur Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Roun Domail Polie Post apprehended four persons for creating nuisance and disrupting traffic movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway under the influence of liquor.
The arrested persons have been identified as Jeevan Singh, son of Puran Singh of Roun Domail, Sunil Kumar, son of Puran Chand of Bradian, Arun Sharma, son of Ramesh Chander of Bradian and Shubam Kumar, son of Madan Lal of Bradian.
A case under FIR Number 273/18 under Section 510 RPC has been registered against the accused persons at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Roun Domail Police Post SI Jaswinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Udhampur Inspector Vijay Choudhary, DySP Headquarters Kulbir Handa and Additional SP Faisal Qureshi.
