DODA, May 19: Bhagwah police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bhagwah Police Post laid a naka at Gardaan and rescued five cattle from the possession of a person.
Police arrested the cattle smuggler, who has been identified as Mohammad Iqbal, son of Shamas Din Mir, a resident of Gardaan.
A case under FIR Number 73/18 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Bhaderwah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Bhagwah SI Lekh Raj made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
