Bovines smuggling bid foiled

RAMBAN, July 3: Khari Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, a team from Police Post Khari laid a naka and arrested four persons and rescued 10 bovine animals, which they were trying to smuggle to Kashmir on foot.
The arrested persons were identified as Fayaz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Sultan Malik of District Kulgam, Mohammad Iqbal, son of Ghulam Qadir Surukh of Hijwaa, Tehsil-Khari District Ramban, Jahangir Ahmed, son of Jamal Din of Mahu and Fayaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool of Hijwa, Khari District Ramban.
A case FIR Number 152/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Khari PSI Sweet Singh foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SHO Banihal Inspector Muneer Ahmed, SDPO Banihal Nissar Khoja and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
