Bovines smuggling bid foiled

KATHUA, Jan 21: Lakhanpur Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 10 cattle and arresting one smuggler.
As per official spokesman, a team from Police Station Lakhanpur led by SHO Inspector Surinder Pal Singh under the supervision of DySP DAR Kathua Sukhdev Singh and SSP Kathua RC Kotwal laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK03K-7492.
During checking, police team rescued 10 bovine animals and seized the vehicle vis arrested the driver, who was identified as Nisar Ahmed Khan, son of Ghulam Qadir Khan of Rakh Barha Danamal District Anantnag.
A case FIR Number 08/2022 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Lakhanpur and investigation started.
