RAJOURI, Apr 3: The police seized a vehicle and rescued six animals which were being smuggled to Kashmir.
Police said that during early hours today, a team of police headed by SHO Thanamandi – Insp Fareed Ahmed during routine patrolling, spotted a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK11B/ 4668 and signalled to stop but driver parked the vehicle at some distance from police naka and escaped taking advantage of darkness.
Police claimed that the driver escaped from the spot but vehicle was seized along with six bovines loaded in it. A case FIR was registered at Thanamandi police station against the accused driver.
