JAMMU, June 28: Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 4 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka near TCP and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02BH-6362.
During checking, police team rescued 4 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Shakeel Mohammad, son of Malook Hussain of Kadyal Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 298/2021 under Section 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
