SAMBA, Mar 8: Police at Patli Morh in Bari Brahmana area today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued nine bovines.
Police sources informed that two men were taking nine bovines by foot from Patli Morh started running when villagers tried to stop them.
While running they left behind the animals which were later on taken by the cops in their custody and shifted to a safer place.
Police has taken cognizance and started investigations.
