KATHUA Oct 26 : Continuing stringent actions against bovine smugglers , Kathua police today detained one notorious bovine smuggler and booked him under Public Safety Act (PSA) by the order of District Magistrate Kathua for which PSA warrant was issued.
The accused namely Faryad Ali, S/o Bashir Ahmed, R/o Rangoora (Batra) Bye Pass Jammu is involved in case FIR number, 167/2008 u/s 188 RPC,3 PCA Act of Police Station Rajbagh, 97/2010 u/s 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act of Police Station Kathua, 06/2013 u/s 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act and 73/2019 u/s 279/336/188 RPC, 3 PCA Act of Police Station Lakhanpur.
The accused was absconding and recently arrested by team of Police Station Lakhanpur led by Inspector, Bharat Sharma, SHO Police Station, Lakhanpur. He was sent to Central Jail Jammu. His detention would surely put a check on bovine smuggling in the area. People of the area widely appreciated the decisive action of Police against him.
